I’ve put together a FAQ to answer what I hope covers what you would need to know before booking my services. I also want to make sure I am the right person for your event, so if any of the below does not cover your concerns then please get in touch.

What type of face paints do you use?

All my face paints are professional, water based and meet EU, EEC or FDA regulations. Any glitter that is used is of cosmetic grade. The main products I use are Superstar, Tag Face Paints, and DiamondFX.

From what age can a child be painted?

The paints I use are not recommended for children under the age of 2, so I have a strict policy not to paint a child younger than this. For children aged around 2-3 I find that  full faces can be quite a challenge as they will generally be a bit wriggly and easily distracted, for these I would recommend a small design on the cheek, hand or arm.

Is there any other reason you would not be able to paint my child’s face?

Firstly I would not agree to paint a child that wasn’t comfortable with their face being painted, or against the parent/guardian’s wishes. I may also refuse to paint a child (or adult) who has a cold sore, eczema, open cut, conjunctivitis or any other known infectious condition. Faces must also be clean prior to painting!

I have sensitive skin, can I be painted?

I do use hypoallergenic paints, but if you are concerned that you may have a reaction to the paints that I use, then I would recommend a patch test. A patch test is where I will apply a small amount of paint then allow around 30 minutes. After this time I would clean the area and check for any irritation.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am covered for public liability upto £5 million through Blackfriers Insurance and can provide proof on request.

Do you paint at Charity events?

Due to the high number of requests I receive to donate my services to various charity events I now support a “Charity Of The Year” chosen each April. If you would like to put your charity forward for a chance to be selected then please get in touch.

How many faces can you paint?

On average 8-10 face can be painted per hour, although this can vary depending on the size and complexity of the designs.

Do you cover corporate events?

Yes certainly. I do not restrict myself to certain events. For corporate clients I am happy to offer payments by BACS with terms to be agreed in advance.

Do you travel?

Sure. I generally restrict my events to within 15 miles of my base in Oldham. BUT, if you like my services I can travel further afield. Please get in touch as I would need to factor in the distance before giving a quotation.

I have another question……………

Not a problem, whist this FAQ covers most common questions I’d be more than happy to hear from you. Feel free to drop me a line or call me. All my details are on the contact me page.
